A great day to start the season with Millbrook Cricket Club XI arriving off a comfortable win over the Goat Herders on Friday.
I duly lost the toss and Fraser Skinner put us in. Stu Spalding and James Barringer faced some tight bowling and we found ourselves behind the eight ball but after some big hitting in the middle order from Niven Boyle 52 and Jonathon Collins 49, we managed a very competitive 227 off our 50 overs.
With a tight start from our opening bowlers and frustrating containment from our change bowlers, the target was never really under threat and we dismissed Millbrook for 130.
